Local 799 serves over five hundred active and retired members, brave men and women of the Providence Fire Department

WHO WE ARE

All officers of the Union serve as full-time firefighters in the Providence Fire Department. Local 799 is proud to be one of the oldest and largest locals in the International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO-CLC. 

WHAT WE DO

We are Providence. We are members of the community we are sworn to protect - serving as youth coaches, participating in our schools and churches, and taking an active role in our neighborhoods. 799 is also a strong supporter of numerous local charitable foundations and causes.
